Don’t underestimate the job you do as a Parent

As parents we have our high and low moments. We have those moments where we doubt everything we do and we feel like we aren’t good enough. Well, we are! And it’s important that we remind ourselves.

A few months back I was having a rough day. I think it was as simple as the washing being piled high and the kids having a few more tantrums than usual.

Feeling Judged and liking yourself

Raise your hand if you have ever felt personally victimised by Regina George?

We are all judged on a daily basis and if we are being honest we are judging people too. Why do we do it? Is it to make ourselves feel better? To make someone else feel worse? Or has it just became a habit now? The best way to tackle this is to just not care what people think about you and to be nice all the time.

Sounds so easy doesn’t it.

Being a Comparison Addict

Now I’m going to start by saying, if comparing yourself to people was a sport, I would most definitely win gold at the Olympics for it. That makes it sound like it’s a good thing, but obviously we all know that it’s not. It’s like a drug habit you just can’t kick. You hate it, but you can’t stop doing it. Like when I zoom into that picture to see if she has as much cellulite as I do, or when you see countless holiday snaps from people and wonder how the hell are they affording this, I can barely afford to go to Stoke. OK I am joking, that was an Alan Partridge reference, I can really afford to go to Stoke.

How Crafts & Fitness helped me


Without sounding too much like we are at a work conference where the team leader makes everyone stand up and say three things about yourself…

My name is Courtney and currently as I write this I am 27 years old. I have two children, a daughter and a son, and people often like to say how lucky I am to have one of each, but what they don’t realise is they argue like cats and dogs, so am I that lucky really?! Joke!! I love them with every single bit of me… OK that’s dramatic but it’s true. Sorry I have totally digressed, which may happen a lot, I apologise in advance.
